This forum is harvesting irresponsible postings because one of its foundation is crooked. Think about it! You compare this issue about the "band" with what are written in HLPF and it's obvious how this place is just a dump site for one handful of people to write fantasies. Sorry I have to be frank.

We are neither happy nor unhappy. One reader, obviously a friendly supporter of Diamond, had expressed his opinion about the bashings Diamond received from readers in HLPF. Readers can "terkan" anything for whatever reasons. You yourself "terkan" us. No problem, as long as the 5 guidelines are not infringed, we do not censor readers' opinions.

We have nothing against HLPF and in fact we have listed them and other local gay websites in our link page. We just wish others would do the same for us. *sigh*

While below is what "Diamond Supporter" have written:

So please pardon my displeasure after reading the official words you replied as a moderator, quoted below:

He didn't claim anyone was bashing anything but YOU are saying there's bashing of Diamond going on in HLPF whereas I see none of such thing except for frank personal feedbacks.

Could the rest of BW's team tell me why the double standards being practiced, especially when this forum is so proud about being "no attitude"? It was a good tagline, but if you were to read the last sentence of guideline number 3, reproduced below, you'll know it's now otherwise:

You might actually want to know the meaning of libellous comment, fair comment and opinion before you launch an attack on me. Since you are at it, read up on slander as well.

Diamond Supporter postings is all fair comment. "Fuck you", "fuck off", may be colourful, but it is not libellous. And if you are not sure what is libellous, your comment about me is without merit.

1) I split out the previous tangent discussion about "moderators" into this GuestBook/Feedback sub-forum. The GuestBook is setup for suggestions/feedback.

2) We have many readers with good suggestions/opinions, we would really like to hear from you.

3) The moderator team is newly appointed by BlowingWind. We have been busy updating the technology of the site. For the social aspects of moderation, none of us (lungker, oralb and myself hendrytan) have ever done it before and we are still finding our feet and trying to find the correct flexibility.

4) Codifying the rules is an attempt by Lungker to make things more transparent.
We would gladly discuss whether the rules are too harsh or non-conducive for this forum. However will appreciate if the comments are presented constructively so as to avoid misunderstanding.

5) Concerning the "perceived" competition between BW and HLP.
a) Personally I read both BW and HLP.
The forums may be using the same software (IPB board hosted by Forumer.com) but attracts different types of contents that both tickle my interest.

b ) I personally believe that it is good to have friendly competition between the 2 sites. I sincerely hope that this will not turn ugly fueled by personalities and over enthusiastic supporters. (Please do not flame me about this comment.)

6) The Singapore gay community is already under assault by the mainstream media under concerns of aids etc. Let us not in-fight.

7) If we have 2 vibrant forums catering for us, the winner will only be the gay commununity. I note that the moderator/admin of both the BW and HLP forums do not have commercial motivation. The Forumer.com software provider does not allow commercial advertisements by the users. If there was commercial intent, this Forumer.com software would not have been our choice.
